Luxembourg’s Ni Xia Lian, 61, became the oldest competitor in the history of the Olympics to win a table tennis match, defeating her first-round opponent in Paris -- her sixth Olympics. When the Chinese-born "Auntie" Ni later lost to China's world No 1 Sun Yingsha, 23, she got a standing ovation from the crowd and a hug from the Grand Duke of Luxembourg.
